Dries Van Noten this SS season was nothing short of effortlessly perfect. Elegant silhouettes, slouchy tops, sheer fabric, tartan, and lots of layers were prevalent in almost every ensemble. Creamy colors and feminine undertones made this season's aesthetic a delectable treat.

Frida Kahlo: Fashion Icon

As  I have been conducting preliminary research for my Senior Fashion Line, I've stumbled upon artist,  Frida Kahlo. Since I was young, I have always gravitated towards her unique beauty, tortured soul, and strong sense of self femininity. Her interest in traditional Central American dress is timeless- especially considering that most women were obsessing over Coco Chanel and other prevalent fashion houses at the time. She remained true to herself, her heritage and her own aesthetic.

Rodarte SS 2013

I am entirely in awe of Rodarte's Spring Summer 2013 show. Seems like these sisters have been indulging in Game of Thrones and dare I even say Hunger Games a little more than they'd like to admit. The 2013 collection is a mash up of fantasy and mediaeval influence; long flowing dresses, cinched waists, fringe detailing and bad ass leather vests. Two items not to miss: the destroyed leather leggings and silver dragon ear pieces.
