One Hundred Teeth

Well looks like "bejeweling" has been around longer than we thought... how amazing is this? The world's oldest purse was recently discovered in a burial chamber in current day Germany. Over 100 dog teeth studded this bag- dated anywhere from 2500 to 2200 BCE. The leather has denigrated for the most part, though the dog teeth detailing stayed in tact. According to this article by National Geographic, dog teeth were more commonly used as hair ornaments and in jewelry. Dog teeth were used as  decorative elements for a period of time, alluding to the fact that fashion trends were prevalent long before Antoinette. Rad.
