Summer Night in the City

Wondering, wandering.
Never knowing what I'll find, never knowing what I'm looking for.
Waking up early, falling asleep late.

Velvet dress spinning, spinning, as the electric beat drones on.
Slow summer night, whiskey in my mason jar.
The sleepless city lights are my stars in the sky.
Cast a spell, eyes open, eyes closed.

Basking in tonight.
Until the sun rises and the birds sing to us while we stumble home.
Heels clacking as they hit the pavement.
Hands moving, blankets covering our bare bodies.

Goodnight, Good morning.
